Art historian, journalist, and editor.
Netherlands.
I am a journalist and a critic, currently working as the editor in chief of Ons Amsterdam, a monthly devoted to the history of Amsterdam. I write reviews for De Groene Amsterdammer and several other magazines, mainly about the arts, exhibitions, and design.
Between 2008 and 2018, I was involved in two Master’s programs at Design Academy Eindhoven – Contextual Design in Design Curating and Writing – specifically to mentor students in researching and writing a thesis. I did similar work at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, dept. of photography.
Following on from work in Eindhoven, I organized three design summer schools in Lithuania in close cooperation with the Vilnius Art Academy.
Before and after that, I worked all over the place. I worked for a TV producer as editor in arts and documentaries, I was editor of a magazine for the National Endowment for Media productions, and I’ve worked for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra as editor of their iPad magazine.
