MOKU

Designers: Gaudutė Žilytė, Simonas Tarvydas (INDI)

MOKU is an educational toy designed to stimulate preschool children who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or Down Syndrome (DS or DNS). After attempting to help children in their earliest stage of development, it was discovered that sound and multifunctional features have the most positive effect. And so, this toy was created. The needs of these children were examined by working with specialists and parents alike, so the toy is fitted with acoustic elements that develop retroactive emotional reactions. And the multifunctional features help the child maintain full attention on the activity for an extended period of time as well as train his or her motor skills.
