LITHUANIAN SEA MUSEUM EXHIBITION “MY FATHER IS A FISHERMAN, AND I’M HIS ASSISTANT”

Designers: Martynas Birškys and the Dadada studio designer team

Client: Lithuanian Sea Museum

The Lithuanian Sea Museum is one of the most popular in the country, attracting about half a million visitors from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Russia, Germany and other foreign countries each year. It has not only the main Sea Exposition and Dolphinarium but also other exhibits such as the Ethnographic Farmstead of Fisherman whose concept has been designed and implemented by the DADADA Studio. The designed exhibits and aesthetical visual forms contain an educational approach – a visitor can touch, learn and find out hidden information by performing certain tasks. Various activities such as fish recognition, mastering threads, sniffing amber resin, touching wooden surfaces – they all talk visual design language, which incites visitors to gain knowledge through experiences.
